Finally. I am sitting in my new bed, eating an actual meal-- not standing and scarfing a sandwich-- I am relaxing and watching a show after a very very long day of moving. And my new room has blinds so I can sleep in tomorrow. Finally.
And, I am so wonderfully pleased by the goodness in people. Thank you friends. For the move, and for the pup. I am so so so so so so so glad that people came through for him.

I kept meaning to tell you -- but maybe the advice will still be helpful. Ear plugs. I used them this last school year when I lived with 5 other people and our was the party house. My room was just off the living room so there were nights when the noise was too much. I invested in a cheap pack of ear plugs and they worked like magic. (I recommend the soft kind that you twist, place in your ear, then they expand into sound proof delight.) I cannot tell you how much rest they afforded me. Maybe you might try some and see if they make a difference - something tells me they might.
I hope this place is quieter than the last! I'm glad you're all moved - moving is THE WORST.
Oh Elizabeth, here's the catch: I wear those ear plugs every night of my life. And the noise just came through. More to the point-- the bass was like a constant off-kilter tap on my chest. No ear plugs can block that.
